Being from Texas.

We had a fun-filled weekend tailgating, boozing, eating and working! How fun is that we can tailgate, booze and work at the same time? Yea, it's pretty sweet. We saw so many friends from near and afar...it totally brings us back to the college days. And we were so happy because UT barely won! Case McCoy and Jaxon Shipley will be my new loves this year.

Who knew you could cry watching Sunday NFL football? Seriously, tears streamed down my face watching the football games yesterday. When the football players held the edges of the American flag with the victims families and the first responders, I lost it. E kept saying..."Seriously." Ha. It was a day of reflecting that's for sure. No matter what our opinions are on what should have happened that day or what didn't happen that day- Thousands of lives were lost on that day and continue to be lost in the War for freedom. I will never, ever forget that day. I am really excited to be visiting NYC with my sweet Mom in November and at the top of my list is the WTC memorial. I can only imagine what it will look like in person and the ambiance surrounding it.

Lastly, being from Texas everyone assumes we are ALL Cowgirls Cowboys fans...well, think again because there is no team we hate more in our household than the Cowboys (eh-maybe the Sooners and Aggies). E and I were so excited they lost last night to the NY Jets and I was so proud of the Jets for bringing NY a win on 9\11. Poor Tony Romo.
