Pinterest- Addicting, no?

Throwing another post because I have to confess. I.am.addicted.to.Pinterest. E asks me, "what are you doing on your phone, you have been on it for hours?" I then proclaim, "I am on Pinterest." I try to make it better by showing him cute dogs, lovely bathrooms or places to vacation, but he still doesn't understand my addiction. I will confess that I think I am more addicted than I was to Facebook. That's a bold statement.
I think my favorite things to find on the site are food recipes and words of wisdom. Wisdom that either makes me tear up or makes me want to tinkle from laughing so hard. Either way- I love the site. I did hear that there is an up and coming site that is far better than Pinterest. Not sure I believe it...

Oh how Pinteresting:

Find here.

Catch up.

I am back from San Diego and I loved every minute of SD. I didn't like Temecula at all, but I got over it when I visited the Fashion Mall on Friars and pulled up to my hotel off 10th Avenue in San Diego. There was one part that would have made SD visit nicer...to have E with me. He is my partner in crime when traveling and having him in a fun city with me would have made the trip ten times better, but alas I enjoyed the alone time. I am going back in a couple of weeks and am hoping to pull his hair to come with me.
So- I am loving all things San Diego today!
I stayed at the Hotel Indigo and it was very nice, modern, clean and close to everything. Highly recommend it. I mean- They had wood floors! I was bummed they don't have bath tubs though.
Who knew San Diego had a Little Italy? Not moi.
I pampered myself on Thursday evening then went and had an Italian dinner by myself. I had a salad, some basil pesto and a glass of wine. It was delish! My BFF, Kindle was by my side.
I took a 6 mile stroll on Friday morning before my departure, so I could see the ocean. There is something about salt water...
 Great public transportation! Trolleys.
Fishing boats. There were so many boats!
I sent this to E. :)

Happy Leap Day!

Staten Island, I mean California.

I am in Temecula, California for the week and let me just say I feel like I am in Staten Island, NY. Fo-realz. It definitely doesn't have the Cali appeal you see in San Diego. It's about an hour and a half north of San Diego and I am really wishing it was more like right down the street. I am in training for the week and I am ready to get home. I am pathetic. I just love my bed, my husband, my dog and my house...oh let's not forget about my car.
Hertz gave me a car that is about to fall apart, swear. It reeks of cigarette smoke and just nasty.
My hotel actually is nice and modern, but my room is facing I-15. Fail.
I love this mirror. That's the bathroom light!
I did catch a glimpse of pretty scenery this morning on my way driving people off the rode to get my Starbucks.
I have to work at night after training because...well- I just need to get some shizz done.
I found the nearest In N Out burger.
Whataburger is so much better!
To kill time, I went and got a manicure and pedicure. I have to say it was full of Staten Island-ish gals. It was bizarre. I love my nail color though.

Pretties.
I can't wait to stay in SD on Thursday night. Perhaps, a facial, a glass of wine, my Kindle and a nice dindin alone will be in the future.

It's Friday, Friday...gotta get down on Friday.

It's been amazing to me that this past Summer in Texas was dreadful. It was over the top hot and we didn't see rain for months. There were wild fires all over the place and Lake Travis is turning into a desert.
Move to this Winter, it's been raining cats and dogs. There is rain in our forecast all weekend long and this does not bode well for our back yard that is a mud pit perfect for doggies to get disgustingly dirty. Don't get me wrong, I am thankful for the rain because we really do need it...I just wish it would have held off until Monday because the weather gods should know we have shizz to do this weekend.
Daydreaming of wearing cute Spring colors and flats or flops!

I. die.
Happy Friday.

Loving on this Wednesday.

Thank goodness we are half way through the week! We have been busy little bees the past few weeks and it doesn't look like it's going to slow down one bit. Last night's Valentine's was absolutely splendid...so much so I am devoting a whole loving on this Wednesday to our feast and evening!
I am loving that I left work at 5 yesterday, got home and began cooking our feast. Starting with Fluffernutter cupcakes- DELISH!

I am loving that E got me raw oysters for an appetizer. He wanted to take care of that portion of the meal and I am so very grateful because I have been on a raw oyster kick. They were better than what you receive at a restaurant.
I am loving that I made my first Tenderloin Oscar! Delicious doesn't even cut it...amazing!
Don't you love our variety of utensils? Mason jar, Waterford crystal and white plates.
I am loving my gift I gave E. I made him a little booklet with our menu, a really sweet thoughtful note and some cute printed pages of gushy Valentine's lines.
I am loving my gifts too! Flowers and Kendra Scott earrings.

It was a lovely evening spent with the love of my life!

Be Mine.

We started Valentine's on Saturday with massages and a little din-din and will continue our celebration of love this evening!
I handcrafted some items for E in which I gave him this morning and he loved them! He cooked me breakfast while I sat on the floor putting my makeup on, what a little cupid?!
On the menu for dinner:
Raw oysters (His piece)
A little pasta dish with a variety of cheeses
Filet Oscar with Asparagus and a Bearnaise sauce
Fluffernutter cupcakes
Of course, red wine and maybe some white too!
I am really excited to get off work and begin cooking our feast! Hopefully, everyone feels loved today!

And I laughed.

Last week was stressful, but our weekend was nothing but fantastic- Thank Heavens!
Friday, started with Marley having issues with his eye and ended with just finding out he has an ulcer on the eyeball caused from a cut caused from running into something. Poor booger. I love his ophthalmologist so much! He was writing Mars' report and said..."put the ointment in his left eye...oh yea, he only has one eye, so I guess I don't need to continue to write that. " Ha. So true.
On our way to see Dr. Schfrin.
He needs a hair cut, but we love him scruffy.
Look how thorough his eye doc is...fo real...my doctor's reports aren't even like this...lucky SOB this mutt is I must say:
Ice Guy was invited to the University of Texas mascot halftime game. Let me say we have a dear friend that is the perfect person under our mascot outfit. This was hysterical to see all the mascots playing 4 on 4. And- I laughed hysterically while re-watching this vid.

I surprised E with a 75 minute massage and dinner at ZTejas on Saturday after the game. It was an early Heart Day celebration. Both of us definitely needed a rub down. :)
Sunday was spent grocery shopping, lounging, eating trail mix, doing laundry, enjoying a fire and a bit of snow, topped off with a few too many bevs at a local restaurant for a friend's birthday!

I am ready for Friday!

Let's be honest.

I am having one of those weeks where I could scream at the top of my lungs, really need a lot of alcohol, want to quit my job and run away.
I told E on gmail chat the other day that I feel like I PMS all the time...like everyday of the month not just a couple days. My emotions go up and down at the drop of a hat. I could love you one second and then literally want to slit your throat or knock you out the next. Normal? No? Unfortunately, E totally agreed with me and then called me five seconds later to make sure I was okay. Our conversation went something like: "Are you okay? I mean, are you having cramps? What's going on? Do you feel weird?" I immediately stated I was fine, but thinking in my head that I am CRAZY
Our one-eyed dog woke up with issues this morning. He has glaucoma in his only eye and really is 90% blind in that eye. I am just really hoping that this mutt doesn't need another surgery because that will in fact make him 100% blind. He is only 5 or 6 (rescue dog, so not sure of his exact age) so this is going to be a long road for us. Should we buy another dog to help him? I told E this morning that I just don't know if I can get another dog after Marley...this shizz is too much.
So, when life gives you lemons...I say make limoncello and get drunk or go to Pinterest for funnies:

Love Story Link Up.

I love love as well as a good love story! In celebration of pink and red day, I wanted to share mine and E's story.
1. How long have you and your significant other been together?
E and I dated all through college and married a year or so after I graduated. We have been together a total of 11 years!!! Married for 7 this April! Unbelievable how time literally just flies.
2. How did you meet? {What's your "love" story?}
My best friend invited me to go on a cruise for our first college Spring Break and of course I obliged. Come to find out the cruise was a little girls' cheer leading cruise...IE: little kiddos everywhere. L and I were desperate to talk to other people other than each other and that's when a UT hat, a group of guys and a pool come into the picture. We saw a group of guys and noticed one had a University of Texas hat on, so we figured they lived near us. We just busted through the crowd, asked him to take our picture and we all became a little party group the rest of the trip. It was an absolute blast! I met E later that night and he basically needed help getting some random girl away from him and since his baby blues made me fall in love, I quickly danced and drank with him the rest of the time. I came home told my parents that I met the man I would marry. :)
3. If married, how long have you been married? If not, is this the guy you hope to marry? {do tell} 7 years!
4. If you are married, where did you get married at? Big or small wedding?  If not, where would you like to get married? And will it be big or small?
We wed in Houston, Texas at Second Baptist. We had a pretty decent size wedding...nothing too huge, but definitely not small. There is not one thing I would change about our big day: I loved every minute!
5. Do you have any nick-names that you call one another? Do share!
I call him E. He calls be Baby, Julie, Julez.
6. Name 3 things you love most about your honey.
His laugh, his loyalty and his heart. He has the biggest heart and seriously adores me!

7. Tell us how he proposed? Or your ideal proposal?
He proposed to me on our boat on Lake Austin with wine, food, a rose and the most brilliant round diamond! It was a perfect proposal that was very private...I will always remember that night!
8. Is he a flowers and teddy bear kind of guy for v-day, or strawberrieschampagne, and rose petals?
He is definitely not a teddy bear guy, but he definitely is a romantic at heart! I will always remember I said something about "really, candles..." in college and I think that ruined his want to make every occasion romantic. We love to fix dinner together, drink wine, watch sports with a fire. He does surprise me with flowers on occasion!
9. Are you a sunset dinner on the beach kind of girl, or pop a movie in and relax on the couch?
If we lived somewhere that had a beach and beautiful sunset everyday, we would TOTALLY be the dinner and beach couple. There is nothing more we both love than salt water, a drink and a sunset!

10. Tell us one thing you'd like to do with your significant one day. If you could do anything? Go anywhere?
I would love to go to Italy with E. We both have been, but not together! He is an Italian kiddo that loves food and wine as do I, so I think it would be the perfect place.
11. Tell us what you plan on doing on this Valentine's Day.
I am not sure what we are going to do yet...I am bummed it's on a Tuesday this year. Whatever we do, we will have a blast and probably spend too much money even if we cook at home. ;)
12. Are you asking for anything this Valentine's day?
I never ask for much on Valentine's, BUT this year I did ask for Kendra Scott earrings. If I don't get those, I will be totally fine with some pretty flowers from Randall's.
13. Give us one piece of advice of keeping a relationship strong and full of love.
Be with your best friend, learn to compromise, always say I love you and remember to say you are sorry.
14.  Show us a picture of what love means to you.
Being together, being ourselves, laughing and having a blast!
